Emergent Backs the App Builder Track in the World's Biggest Business Competition

Emergent is the recommended build platform for the App Builder track of the World's Biggest Business Competition, the four-week programme run by entrepreneur Simon Squibb. Builders on this track can ship a real, revenue-ready product on Emergent, web app or mobile app, without writing code, then compete for a share of $1M in prizes.

The competition opens on 24 October 2026, with a four-week building window running through 20 November 2026. A live Demo Day finale follows the build phase.

Five tracks, one that Emergent powers

The World's Biggest Business Competition runs across five tracks: App Builder, E-commerce, Creator, Services, and Coaching & Communities. Founded by Simon Squibb, the serial entrepreneur and angel investor behind HelpBnk, the programme takes founders from an idea to a real, revenue-generating business in four weeks.

The prize pool is $1M, shared by 181 winners. That breaks down to a single $100,000 grand prize and 180 runner-up prizes of $5,000 each. Prize eligibility is earned by generating verified revenue during the programme, so this is a contest to build a real business, not to pitch one.

Emergent sponsors the App Builder track, the route for founders who want to launch an actual app rather than a slide deck. First-timers are welcome, and most builders on this track start from zero.

What building with Emergent gives contestants

Contestants choose their setup at registration. General Entry is free and leaves you to piece your own tools together. Fast Track is the recommended option: it includes Emergent to build your app, plus a private kickoff call, webinar recordings, and other bonuses.

The Fast Track page provides a unique link to set up an Emergent account. That link activates a 7-day Standard pass with 100 credits, then continues at $20 per month with 100 fresh credits. Contestants should use the same email for both Emergent and the Fast Track form.

On the platform itself, the App Builder track becomes four steps. You describe what you want, and Emergent handles the frontend, the backend, and the business setup. You wire in Stripe and deploy to a live URL on a custom domain, which matters because the prizes are revenue-gated. You can ship the same product to web, iOS, and Android from one chat, with the App Store and Google Play submission flow built in. And you keep everything you build, with full codebase ownership, GitHub export, and your own domain, win or lose.

That last point is the reason the track is winnable here. Four weeks is enough time to ship a revenue-ready product when the tech stack is handled for you, leaving the competition itself as the real work.
