Maxx Mode

Maxx Mode gives Emergent's agent more room to think before it builds. You turn it on for complex or high-stakes work where you want the agent to reason more deeply rather than move fast.

Switch it on when the build is complex enough to need extra thinking.

How Maxx Mode works

You toggle Maxx Mode on from the prompt bar, next to where you pick your model, before you send your request. With it on, the agent puts more effort into planning and reasoning through the problem, which suits complex builds, tricky architectural decisions, and difficult bugs. For quick, well-defined tasks you can leave it off and let the agent move at its normal pace.

Example

You're building a booking app where overlapping reservations, time zones, and cancellation rules all interact, the kind of logic that's easy to get subtly wrong. You switch on Maxx Mode before describing it, so the agent reasons through how those rules fit together before writing the scheduling code, rather than patching edge cases after they break.
