fabrizio romano and emergent launch builders contest

We've partnered with football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano to launch a global build challenge with a total prize pool of $100,000.

The prize pool breaks down across the top three winners: $50,000 for first place, $30,000 for second, and $20,000 for third.

This is not a hackathon. It is a challenge to build software that solves a real problem, publish it, and let the community vote. The contest went live on July 1, and the contest page is already accepting submissions.

How it works

The contest runs on a simple three-step structure. Build an app on Emergent, publish and submit it, then share it with your community to collect upvotes.

1. Build your app on Emergent. Identify a real-world problem and describe it. Emergent's AI agents handle the code, backend, and deployment. No coding experience required.

2. Publish and submit to the contest. Once your app is live, submit it through the contest page. Your submission enters the public showcase.

3. Share with friends and get upvotes. The community votes on submissions. Upvotes factor into how entries are evaluated.

You can browse the current submissions on the Fabrizio Romano showcase page.

Who should enter

Anyone. The contest is open globally, and no technical background is needed.

If you run a small business and track operations in spreadsheets, you could build software to replace that workflow. If you manage a sports league and coordinate schedules manually, you could build a scheduling app. If you have an idea for a tool that does not exist yet, this is the reason to build it.

The common thread across winners will not be coding skill. It will be the quality of the problem they chose to solve and the software they built around it.
