Custom Domain

A custom domain is your own web address connected to a deployed Emergent app, so it runs at something like yourbrand.com instead of the default emergent.app URL. It's how a finished app takes on your own branding.

Give the app you build its own web address.

How a custom domain works

Once your app is deployed, you open the Custom Domain section, click "Link Domain," and enter the domain you own. Emergent gives you DNS records to add in your registrar's settings (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, and the like), which verify that the domain is yours and route visitors to your app. Setup usually completes within about 5 to 15 minutes once the DNS changes propagate.

Example

You deploy a booking app that's live at a default emergent.app address, then link your own domain so customers reach it at book.yourdomain.com instead, with no change to the app itself.
