What the Form Asks Before It Names a Price
These six pieces turn a customer's answers into a price, or into a site walk when the job is too big to price from a form.
A price that follows the rooms
Set a base price for each home size and a step for every extra bathroom. The form does the math as the customer answers and shows the price per visit before anyone submits.
Rates tied to the cleaning schedule
Offer weekly, every-two-weeks, and monthly visits at their own rates. When the customer picks a schedule, the total on screen changes to the per-visit rate for that choice.
Extras priced one at a time
List add-ons such as inside the oven or interior windows, each with its own price and checkbox. Every extra the customer ticks is added to the quote total on screen.
Large jobs held for a site walk
Pick the square footage where a form price stops being safe. A request over that line shows no price and goes on the owner's list for a site walk, with the address attached.
Each request in an email or Slack
Choose who hears about a new request and where: an email to the owner or a post in a Slack channel. The message carries the address and the total the customer saw on screen.
Code you can take to your own site
On paid plans, export the full code to your GitHub repository. A developer can then place the quote form inside an existing booking site and keep building on it there.
How Four Cleaning Jobs Get Quoted
Three bedrooms, every two weeks: $135 a visit
Kalinda Vaszary wants her house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms cleaned every two weeks. Vellacott Home Cleaning's form prices that home at $150 for a standard clean and takes 10% off for the every-two-weeks schedule. She sees $135 a visit before she submits, and her request is saved with her answers.
window.awbMockup = { houseCleaning: "Build a quote form for my house cleaning business. Ask for bedrooms, bathrooms, and how often the customer wants a visit: weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. A home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is $150 for a standard clean, with 10% off every two weeks. Show the price per visit before they submit and save each request.", moveOutCleans: "Build a move-out cleaning quote form for my company. Ask for the move-out date and the apartment size. A 1-bedroom move-out clean is $220. Offer extras with their own prices: inside the oven $35, inside the fridge $30, and interior windows $45. Add the ticked extras to the total and email the customer the quote with their move-out date.", rentalTurnovers: "Build a turnover cleaning quote form for vacation rental hosts. Ask how many cabins they rent, how many checkouts they expect in the month, and whether linens are included. Price each turnover at $95, show the monthly total, and post every request to the #turnovers channel in my Slack.", postConstruction: "Build a post-construction cleaning quote form for builders. Ask for the builder's company name and the square footage of the finished house. Price jobs up to 4,000 square feet on the form. For anything bigger, show no price and put the request on my list marked Site walk needed so I can walk the site first." };
Oven, fridge, and windows lift a move-out to $330
Corban Mirelli hands back the keys to his 1-bedroom apartment on May 29. On Blumquist Cleaning Co.'s form he picks a move-out clean at $220 and ticks three extras: inside the oven for $35, inside the fridge for $30, and interior windows for $45. An email gives him the $330 quote and his move-out date.
Two cabins, 14 July checkouts, and one $1,330 quote
Ottaline Zelenka rents out 2 cabins and expects 14 checkouts in July. Granfield Turnover Cleaning's form asks for the cabins, the checkout count, and whether linens are included. It prices 14 turnovers at $95 each, $1,330 for the month, and posts the request to the #turnovers channel in Slack.
Ardmoor's new build gets walked before it gets priced
Ardmoor Builders has a 4,800-square-foot house ready for its final clean and asks Merriday Cleaning for a quote. Anything over 4,000 square feet gets a site walk before a price, and the form shows no total. The request goes on the owner's list marked Site walk needed, next to 2 smaller jobs already priced.
How to Create a Cleaning Quote Form
Seven steps to build a cleaning quote form that totals each home on screen and sends large jobs to a site walk.
List the cleaning you take on and the cleaning you refuse, such as biohazard cleanup or hoarding work. Put that list in the first question of the form. A customer whose job is outside it finds out before typing an address or a phone number.
Pick a job from last month, such as a 2-bedroom condo cleaned weekly, and write out how you reached the price. The base rate, each extra bathroom, and the schedule discount become the form's rules. The form should land on your number.
The size of the home and the visit schedule belong on the form, because each one moves the total. Leave off anything you can learn at the door. Then fill the form on a phone yourself and cut any question that does not change the total.
Decide who visits the jobs your form will not price, and how soon they reply. Give that person a target, such as one business day, and a backup for weekends. Put both names in the prompt so these requests reach them.
Put your prices and the site-walk rule into one prompt. Emergent builds the form, the database behind it, and the logic that totals each quote. When a price changes next season, ask for the new number in plain English and the form updates.
Send recurring requests to whoever schedules the regular crews and one-time jobs to the owner. A Slack channel suits a team that shares the work, and an email suits one person. Include the total the customer saw in every message.
Request a small apartment, a large house with every extra, and a home over your site-walk line. Check each total against your own math. Then confirm the large request showed no price and reached the person who books site walks.
