What a Construction Quote Request Carries
A callback for missing measurements delays every price. This form takes them up front, prices the job, and gets the quote signed.
Questions that follow the job type
Pick a kitchen remodel and the form asks for the room size and the feet of cabinets. Pick a driveway and it asks for the length and width and whether an old slab comes out.
Photos and plans attached to the request
Customers add site photos from a phone and upload floor plans or sketches with the request. The estimator opens one record that holds every file next to the customer's measurements.
A price on screen from your rates
Enter your own rate per square foot or per item, and the form multiplies it by the customer's measurements. The customer sees the estimate on screen, marked subject to a site visit.
Each request routed to the right estimator
Route requests by trade or by size. A fit-out over a set square footage goes to the senior estimator in a Slack message, and smaller jobs go to the shared estimating queue.
Quotes accepted with a signature
Send the itemized quote back to the customer as a page with every line and the total. The customer signs on a phone to accept, and the signed quote saves with the original request.
Every request in a database you own
Each request and its signed quote save as rows in a database you own, with no cap on responses. Sort open quotes by value or estimator to see which ones are still waiting.
Construction Quotes by Job Type
The estimator sees 3 kitchen photos before the site walk
Gretchen Albers wants her kitchen redone and fills out the Corvallo Remodeling quote form on her phone. She enters a 12 by 14 foot room, 18 feet of cabinets, and her address, then adds 3 photos. Estimator Tobias Kwan gets the request by email and books the site walk for Thursday.
window.awbMockup = { kitchenRemodels: "Build a construction quote form for my remodeling company. Ask for the project type, the room's length and width, the feet of cabinets, the site address, and up to 5 photos. Email each kitchen request with its photos to my estimator, Tobias Kwan, so he can book the site walk.", concreteDriveways: "Build a driveway quote form for my concrete company. Ask for the driveway's length and width and whether an old slab has to come out. Multiply the square footage by $9 for a new pour and $2 for removal, and show the estimate on screen as subject to a site visit.", commercialFitOuts: "Build a quote request form for my commercial construction firm. Ask tenants for the business name, the suite size in square feet, and an upload for the floor plan. Send any fit-out over 4,000 square feet to my senior estimator, Bastian Roe, in a Slack direct message, and put smaller ones in the estimating queue.", basementFinishing: "Build a quote acceptance page for my basement finishing company. Show the customer each line of the quote with its price and the total, and let the customer sign on a phone to accept. When a quote is signed, email my project manager, Ruben Iyer, so he can schedule the job." };
Two measurements turn into a $7,920 driveway price
Tollgate Concrete prices driveways at $9 a square foot for a new pour and $2 a square foot to remove an old slab. Hadley Voss enters 24 by 30 feet and checks that her old slab comes out. The form shows 720 square feet, $6,480 for the pour and $1,440 for removal, or $7,920 pending a site visit.
With the floor plan, a 5,200-square-foot suite reaches Bastian
Requests at Brightquay Builders come from tenants fitting out leased space. Venn Pediatrics asks for a quote on a 5,200-square-foot suite and uploads its floor plan. Any fit-out over 4,000 square feet goes to senior estimator Bastian Roe in a Slack direct message. Smaller requests stay in the general estimating queue.
Accepted from his phone, then on the schedule
Paul Dekker opens his quote from Pellwick Basements on his phone: framing at $6,200, drywall at $4,800, electrical at $3,900, and flooring at $5,100, or $20,000 in all. He signs to accept it. Project manager Ruben Iyer gets an email that the quote is signed and puts the job on the schedule.
How to Create a Construction Quote Form
Seven steps to build a construction quote form that collects each job's measurements and prices them from your own rates.
Pull up your last year of quotes and group them by job, such as kitchens, driveways, or tenant fit-outs. Each group becomes a job type on the form with its own questions. A driveway customer then never sees a cabinet field.
For each job type, write down the measurements you multiply by a rate: square feet of slab, feet of cabinets, or the size of a suite. Ask for exactly those, and put the unit next to each field.
Enter the rate behind each line, such as one price per square foot to pour and another to tear out. Keep the rates in one table. A price change next spring then updates every estimate the form shows.
Add a photo upload for the rooms or the site and a file upload for floor plans. Name the shots you want, such as each wall of a kitchen. The estimator can then plan the site walk before arriving.
Route by trade or by size. Set the square footage or job value that sends a request to a senior estimator, and send the rest to a shared estimating inbox. Each request arrives as an email or a Slack message.
Before sharing the link, submit 3 requests yourself: a small job, one slightly over your routing threshold, and one without photos. Check that each estimate matches your own math on paper and that each request reaches the right estimator.
Once the estimator settles the price, send the customer the itemized quote to review line by line and sign on a phone. The project manager schedules the crew from the signed version, not from a draft that changed twice.
