What Emergent Builds Behind the TikTok Link

A TikTok landing page has one job: turn a tap in the app into an order or a signup, and keep the record.

A page from one sentence

Describe the offer and where the link will sit, in an ad or on your profile. Emergent builds the page, its form, and the table behind it, and changes any field when you prompt again.

‍

The ad's tag on every signup

TikTok Ads Manager can add UTM parameters to the ad URL for you. The page reads them on load and saves utm_content beside each signup. Each row then names the ad behind it.

A layout made for a phone

Ask for one column and large buttons, and Emergent builds it that way. Open it on your own phone before launch, and read every line, the form included, without pinching to zoom.

Caps and cutoffs from the prompt

Tell Emergent to stop at 120 orders or to close at Friday noon, and the form follows that rule. Anyone who arrives after the cap sees a waitlist field where the form used to be.

One rule, one person alerted

Set a rule such as 10,000 followers or more, and the app sends the entry to the person who handles it, by email or in Slack. Every entry that misses the rule waits in the table.

Your domain, or your own code

Put the page on a custom domain, which uses credits, and keep editing it by prompt. On paid plans, export the full code to your GitHub repository and run it on hosting you choose.

TikTok Landing Pages by Traffic Source

Nightjar Cold Brew's sample pack page shows 640 signups from two TikTok In-Feed ads: 410 from the No grinder needed ad and 230 from the Night shift fuel ad, each saved with its utm_content.
In-Feed Ad Signups

Two ads, each opening on its own hook

Nightjar Cold Brew runs two In-Feed ads for one sample pack page. One opens on "No grinder needed", the other on "Night shift fuel", and the page headline repeats that line. Each signup is saved with the ad's utm_content. Of 640 signups, 410 came from No grinder needed and 230 from Night shift fuel.

Bramblecup Bakery's Saturday sourdough pre-order page, opened from its TikTok profile link, closes after Ada Brennan orders loaf 120 of 120 and shows a waitlist field in place of the form.
Profile Pre-Orders

Pre-orders stop at loaf 120 for Saturday's bake

The link on Bramblecup Bakery's TikTok profile opens one page: Saturday sourdough pre-orders. It asks for a name, an email, the loaf, and a pickup time of 9am or noon. Once the 120th loaf is ordered, the form closes and a waitlist field takes its place. Every order is saved to the orders table.

How to Build a TikTok Landing Page

Seven steps to a TikTok landing page that matches its video, reads on a phone, and records where each signup came from.

01 Pick the one thing the page asks for

Decide whether the page takes an order, a signup, an RSVP, or an application, and build it for that alone. Leave off the site menu and the links to other offers. One page with one form is easier to read on a phone and easier to measure.

02 Choose where the link will sit

An In-Feed ad, the website link on your profile, and a link you mention in a video reach different viewers. Give each its own page or its own tag. Check in the app that your account can show a profile link before you plan around it.

03 Repeat the video's promise

TikTok's ad policy says ad content needs to be consistent with the promoted product or service on the landing page. Put the ad's first line in the headline, and show the same product and price the video showed.

04 Show the offer before the form

For ad traffic, TikTok does not allow landing pages that require viewers to enter personal information in order to access the main content. Put the offer and its details above the form, and ask only for fields you will use.

05 Tag every ad link

Turn on the UTM option in TikTok Ads Manager, or add the parameters by hand, and give each ad its own utm_content value, such as no-grinder-needed. Then ask Emergent to save that value on every signup row.

06 Test it on your own phone

TikTok's landing page checklist says all of your text, including buttons, should be easy to read without having to zoom in. Open the page upright and sideways, and submit one test entry before the ad goes live.

07 Compare ads by signups each week

Sort the table by utm_content once a week and compare ads by signups, not by views. Keep the ad that brings more signups. Write a new first line for the other, and give it a fresh utm_content value before it runs again.
